Tis The Season!
2007 ANNO DOMINI--THE YEAR OF OUR LORD
I thought of how we spend our Advent season. Often buying and looking forward
to receiving gifts at Christmas. Christmas is a time to celebrate friendship
and to share love by exchanging gifts. But then I thought let us not forget,
during this busy season, to celebrate the strongest friendship and the greatest
gift of all time. It is the gift our heavenly Father gives HIS sons and daughters
in Jesus Christ.

JOHN 3:16 "For GOD so loved the world, that HE gave HIS one and only SON - that who-so-ever believes in HIM shall not perish but have eternal life"

The first Advent heraled the coming entrance of GOD HIMSELF personally into the the time of human history as GOD
-- MAN . JESUS came to earth as 100% GOD and 100% man. The righteous and wise plan of our Omniscient FATHER GOD was to send HIS only SON to earth as man to redeem HIS fallen creation mankind. The humanity of JESUS' birth by the seed of woman(Mary) relates JESUS to us as humans before the fall. GOD created mankind(Adam and Eve) holy (sinless). To redeem fallen creation(mankind) GOD could only accept a perfect sinless Paschal Lamb JESUS as the sinless atonement, therefore JESUS whose FATHER was GOD had to be born of a "VIRGIN Mary".On a wall of the Church of The Navitity in Bethlehem hangs a slab written in Latin "Hic De Virgine Maria--Jesus Christus Natus Est", Jesus Christ Born of The Virgin Mary. Yes, Christmas is the Season but Good Friday is eternally the Reason! JESUS' first trip to earth was as a man who would soon die to accomplish restoration of our created Adamic nature, if we but repent of our sins and accept GOD'S gift and JESUS' sacrifice for us all.
Galations 4:4-7 "When the time had fully come, GOD sent HIS SON, born of a woman, born under the Law to redeem those under the Law, that we might have the full rights as sons. Becuse you are sons , GOD sent The Spirit of HIS SON into our hearts,The SPIRIT who calls Abba FATHER. So you are no longer a slave but a son and since you are a son,
GOD made you an heir."
The Christmas Story of the INCARNATION means JESUS- GOD MAN, the SINLESS ONE, would pay the penalty for us sinners so we can be JUSTIFIED in GOD'S HOLY sight therefore we can thus be REDEEMED by the blood of HIS SON and bought back in to the family ofGOD. Yes, GOD wants all HIS children to come home! In loving condescension Our heavenly FATHER stands with arms wide open awaiting our return home.
Accept HIS LOVE before it's too late.
Praise you JESUS
. Tis the season to be jolly
- so the story goes!
Why is it then, so many who-evers
- seem often to have the woes?

Could it be their hearts and minds
- just cannot seem to find!
The time to stop and focus
- on the SAVIOR of mankind.

For that's what Christmas is, you know
- the BLESSED HOLY BIRTH!
Of GOD THE FATHER'S only SON
- who came to save this earth.

From all the worry, rush and hassle
- that we seem to think a must!
When all, our loved ones really want
- is our friendship and our trust.

So share this greatest gift of all
- wrapped up as a little baby boy!
Who will never, ever need replacing
- like a sweather, tie or toy.

Sure, tis the season to be jolly
- well yes, but better still!
Tis the joy unspeakable in our hearts
- that only JESUS CHRIST can fill.

Yes,Christmas is the Season--- But Good Friday is the eternal Reason. Thank you JESUS.

We have a Friend, JESUS now in heaven interceding on our behalf, who is also here amongst us now --- today
Immanuel, GOD with us! .
